Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot is reportedly on the radar of PSG, with the Portuguese full-back set to exit Old Trafford this summer.

According to a report by Portuguese outlet O Jogo, Diogo Dalot is expected to call time on his spell at Manchester United in the summer transfer window after falling out of favour with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Portuguese defender is the subject of interest from PSG and Everton.

Dalot joined Manchester United from FC Porto in the summer of 2018, with then manager Jose Mourinho hailing him upon his arrival at Old Trafford. Mourinho did not last the entirety of Dalot’s maiden campaign with the Red Devils and it has since been slow progress for the 21-year-old.

His slide has further been exacerbated since Aaron Wan-Bissaka was signed by Manchester United. And, towards the end of United’s 2019/20 campaign, Dalot had fallen out of favour completely in the first-team setup, with Timothy Fosu-Mensah being favoured over him by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

As a result, Dalot ended up starting just 7 games all season for Manchester United. His uncertain position in the first-team squad has meant that his future at Old Trafford is up in the air. There have been conflicting reports over the Portuguese’s availability in the market this summer, with the latest suitors being PSG and Everton.

The interest from PSG does make sense, with Thomas Meunier joining Borussia Dortmund. The departure of the Belgian international seems to have created an opening in Les Parisiens’ squad, although he would still face intense competition for either of the full-back slots.

As for Everton, Seamus Coleman is on the wrong end of 30 and would need replacing soon. As a result, Dalot seems to be a viable target for the Toffees. The 21-year-old seems destined to leave Manchester United this summer, even though previous reports have suggested that he will not be on the transfer list.

Other reports have claimed that Manchester United are open to the idea of offloading the player, with a price tag of €35 million mentioned. The report by O Jogo does not mention a price tag, but what does seem to be clear is that Dalot is on his way out of United. What now remains to be seen is if PSG or Everton do end up signing him this summer.
