Manchester United are reportedly interested in and are preparing an offer to sign Leeds United duo Kalvin Phillips and Ben White, who is on loan from Brighton.

According to Daily Mail, Leeds United stars Kalvin Phillips and Ben White, who is on loan from Brighton, have drawn eyeballs from Manchester United with their performances this season. The Red Devils are plotting a double swoop from Leeds United for Kalvin and Ben.

Football Insider state that the two stars have been scouted by Manchester United on several occasions this season so far and have been blown away with what they have seen. Other Premier League clubs are also hot on the heels of the Leeds United duo.

It is reported that Leeds rejected a hefty £27 million offer from Tottenham in the summer and Ben White is being linked with a £20 million move to Liverpool. The two have made 15 appearances each this season and have dazzled with their displays on the pitch.

Manchester United actually need to beef up their options in both defence and midfield, which makes their pursuit of Kalvin Phillips and Ben White all the more realistic. Kalvin is an industrious midfielder that can play the quintessential ball-recovering midfielder role but also dart forward whenever needed or the opportunity presents itself.

Ben White is a centre-back with an eye for a pass and brilliant defensive acumen. The youngster is on loan from Brighton and could be in with a shout to become a regular in their first-team setup once his Leeds United season-long loan ends.

Kalvin Phillips though, might be a bit on the costlier side for Manchester United compared to Ben White. Having already rejected a £27 million bid for Kalvin, Leeds will command a greater premium now, considering his performances so far this seaso and the increased interest in the midfielder.

Ben White could be an interesting option for Manchester United, along with Norwich star Ben Godfrey, who was also reported to be on United’s radar.

Everything will depend on the fate of Brighton and Leeds United. Should Brighton get relegated and Leeds fail to achieve promotion, Ben White and Kalvin Phillips respectively could choose to move in order to secure Premier League football.
