Transfer News: Real Madrid make £90m bid for Juventus’ Paulo Dybala

Real Madrid have tabled an offer of £90 million to poach Juventus star Paulo Dybala in a massive blow to Manchester City’s transfer plans.

If the reports by The Sun are to believed, Real Madrid have made an official bid to Juventus and are an inch closer to getting Paulo Dybala to Bernabeu. Los Blancos have seemed to found the remedy to their goal scoring problems in the flamboyant Argentine international.

The 25 year old has turned quite a few heads in Turin since making his debut in 2015. He has netted a whopping 54 goals from 115 Serie A appearances.

Pep Guardiola had been watching the young striker from the beginning of his tenure as the boss of Bayern Munich and was hoping to get the player to England in January. Rumours are that Guardiola might just be ready to smash the club’s previous record of transfer fees, amounting up to £68.40 million for Kevin De Bruyne in 2015.

British newspaper, Manchester Evening News quoted, “Real is looking for their next galacticos superstar and Dybala is on top of the wishlist. There has been a lot of interest in him over the last few years but he was always interested in going to Real. Manchester City wanted him too, Pep even followed him when he was at Bayern Munich.”

Interestingly, it’s dubious whether the Los Blancos can stump up such a jaw dropping amount considering that they are having their stadium renovated for £400 million.

Juventus can afford to let their forward go for a slightly lower rate too considering the fact that Aaron Ramsey may join Juventus in a free transfer from Arsenal in the coming summer.

The player is expected to welcome the move considering that he has been overshadowed by the presence of Ronaldo.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri confessed,  “He is an important player for us. He has goal chances, he’s always had them. Now we close the action earlier than before. We shoot on target before mainly because of Ronaldo. Paulo can improve, everybody must do a little step ahead.”

Dybala could possibly be the perfect person to don the boots of Ronaldo. However, we mustn’t underestimate the pulling power of Guardiola, Manchester City and the allure of Premier League.
