Juventus could make a move for James Rodriguez, who reportedly tops Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer wishlist this summer.

A shocking report from Spanish news outlet Don Balon claims Juventus could make another transfer coup this summer in the shape of Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez.

It is believed that the Italian giants are willing to do anything to make new signing Cristiano Ronaldo feel as comfortable as possible. And as per reports, the Colombian international tops his transfer wishlist this summer.

Rodriguez, 27, moved to Bayern on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid last summer. Since moving to Bavaria, James has rediscovered his form, which initially earned him a big-money move to the Bernabeu in 2014.

During his time in the Bundesliga, the attacking midfielder has impressed the Bayern hierarchy and the onlookers, in general, scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists in just 23 matches.

In fact, his incredible performances in the German top flight has forced the Bavarians to consider exercising their option of permanently securing his services this summer.

However, reports have been rife regarding James’ wish to return to Real Madrid, following the departure of Zinedine Zidane. The former Madrid coach had James on the chopping block for the past three seasons. But, the attacker has a serious chance of getting into the first team under newly appointed Julen Lopetegui next season.

Thus, a move back to Madrid is certainly a logical decision with Zidane no longer the manager and Ronaldo no longer absorbing all the spotlight.

Speaking of Ronaldo, however, the Portuguese sensation is believed to be a huge admirer of the 27-year-old attacker. He even admitted that the absences of both James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata were one of the primary reasons behind Real Madrid’s irregular start to the campaign last season. And there’s no doubt that the 33-year-old will be delighted to reunite with the Colombian at Juventus next season.

The Italian champions have secured the signing of Douglas Costa on a permanent basis but the addition of Rodriguez will undoubtedly revitalize their attacking setup.

The Colombian starlet can feature in any position across the attacking zones, making him an ideal fit for the Old Lady, who already boast the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Juan Cuadrado and Paulo Dybala amongst many others in their world class roster.

However, the acquisition of this highly rated attacker will mean that Juventus will also have to make room in their stacked attacking department. Dybala and Higuain have been the two players highly linked with a move out of Turin this summer.

While Higuain has been identified as an ideal target by newly appointed Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, Liverpool are also making an ambitious effort to sign Dybala this summer.

At the age of 27, James can still be regarded as one of the most talented attackers in European football, who is capable of making a huge difference for any side in the world. And with no less than three clubs vying for his signature this summer it will be interesting to see how the transfer saga shapes up in the remainder of this summer transfer window.
