Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly the latest entrants in race to sign Rhian Brewster, whose contract situation is up in the air at Liverpool.

According to The Sun, Liverpool’s situation as regards Rhian Brewster has worsened. Borussia Monchengladbach are not the only team in pursuit of the English prodigy. Arsenal and Tottenham have joined the race for Brewster, who is yet to sign his first professional contract at Liverpool.

Rhian Brewster is not just the next English kid on the block. The youngster arrived on the headlines at age 14, when he chose to move from Chelsea to Liverpool. At Merseyside, he has continued his development in fine fashion, working up the age groups.

Brewster’s shining moment came in India as England captured the Under-17 World Cup. The Liverpool attacker bagged the Golden Boot award with eight goals to his name and was in general one of the most exciting players to watch in the competition.

Brewster returned to England and Liverpool with a target on his back. The likes of Barcelona, Juventus and AS Monaco have expressed an interest in the 18-year-old. Brewster has already rejected offers from Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.

Interest is apparent from Borussia Monchengladbach as well, with Liverpool even canceling a friendly in the pre-season with the German outfit due to their interest and potential poaching of Brewster. And now, Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to provide alternate options closer to home.

Arsenal and Tottenham both boast of brilliant youngsters within their ranks. But, none come close to Rhian Brewster, none who hail from England at least.

Brewster looks ready for first-team football to many and has outlined his aim to earn first-team minutes in the 2018-19 campaign. Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all are at an equal pedestal as far as giving chances to youngsters is concerned.

There have been reports of Liverpool tying Brewster down to his first professional contract. But, nothing has been confirmed as of yet, which is only good news for the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham.

The 18-year-old is no stranger to big decisions, moving from Chelsea to Liverpool at the age of 14. Brewster has iterated he does not desire a big-money first professional deal and seeks a place where he can taste first-team football at a quickened pace.

Will it be Liverpool? Probably. But, Arsenal and Tottenham will be waiting in the wings, just in case.
