Valencia wonderkid Harvey Neville, son of former footballer Phil Neville and labelled the next David Beckham, is on the radar of Manchester United and Tottenham.

According to Spanish publication Super Deporte, Manchester United are looking to bring one of their former player’s son to Old Trafford. Phil Neville’s son Harvey Neville, who currently plays for Valencia, is being eyed by the Red Devils, who are not alone in the chase, with the youngster being also tailed by Tottenham.

Harvey Neville has been dubbed the next David Beckham, a tag that has been associated with many-a budding youngsters since the English phenom hung up his footballing boots. But, the 14-year-old has been kicking up a storm at Valencia with his skill and talent, something which is creating a lot of hype around the youngster’s future.

Neville has already had a stint in Manchester, albeit with the blue half of the city and only moved to Valencia when Phil Neville agreed to become Gary Neville’s assistant during the former right-back’s managerial debut with Los Che. And while the Neville brothers have since called it a day after Gary was given his marching orders, Harvey stayed on.

The 14-year-old has since been given a new contract by Valencia, who are impressed by the player and are excited by his future prospects. Harvey is reported to have a mean right foot and has been hailed as one of the brightest talents present in the club’s academy setup.

Manchester United’s interest does not come as much of a surprise, with the club always taking a close look at budding youngsters. That the United academy has failed to produce a talent like Ryan Giggs and David Beckham is also another reason for their interest.

Also, with the 14-year-old being an offspring of one of their former players, United feel they could have a real shot of bringing the player back to England and join their own academy setup. However, they are not alone in the pursuit of the 14-year-old, with Tottenham keeping an eye as well.

Indeed, Tottenham have produced top-notch English youngsters in recent times, that too with remarkable consistency. And, given a choice, a player is more likely to opt for Tottenham over United, with Mauricio Pochettino also having a better track record of bringing through young prospects when compared to Jose Mourinho.

Even David Beckham seems impressed by Harvey, considering his recent interaction with Phil Neville on Instagram. United had submitted an enquiry for the player in the summer and are likely to go back in as well. And it sure will be interesting to see if we see another generation of Neville arrives at Old Trafford.
