PSG have reportedly met with representatives of Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe to discuss a potential summer move.

According to French media outlet L’EquipeLigue 1 giants Paris St. Germain have made contact with the representatives of AS Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe in a bid to lure him towards the Parc des Princes in the summer.

Despite playing in the same league as Monaco and being their only legitimate title contenders this past season, PSG believe that a deal can be struck between the two parties to see the 18-year-old join the Capital outfit.

Antero Henrique, the recently appointed PSG sporting director, met with Mbappe’s representatives a few days back, and is now convinced that the club president Nasser al-Khelaifi will be able to match the staggering €100 million plus valuation of the player.

It will undoubtedly be difficult for the Parisiens to land the player who is on the back of a phenomenal season with Monaco. The Frenchman grabbed 26 goals and provided eight assists in what was his best campaign for Les Monegasques.

As a result, a number of top clubs in Europe show an avid interest in him, and could prove to be a better destination to sell for Monaco, as they would not want to strengthen their nearest title rivals.

La Liga side Real Madrid seem front runners to land the Frenchman should he leave Monaco this summer, and have already made a significant world-record bid worth €130 million for the 18-year-old.

This value is also matched by Manchester City, who also look to be interested in signing the player, but Mbappe seems keen on making the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu and represent the Champions League winners of the past two seasons.

Should he decide to change his mind and move to England, there are sides in the United Kingdom welcoming him with open arms. Arsenal and Liverpool are two clubs that have been strongly linked with the Monaco star.

In fact, Arsenal are guaranteeing the player a regular first-team berth and also a chance to play as a number nine should he move to the Emirates. He is unlikely to be offered these privileges at Real, given how content Zinedine Zidane is with his double winning squad of 2016/17.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to sign a potent number nine in the summer, and has identified Mbappe as the man to lead the line. However, Monaco recently rejected a £68 million bid from the Reds, and the Premier League side are uncertain to table a higher offer.
