Juventus are reportedly set to battle Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool to land Moussa Dembele in the summer

According a report in France Football, Moussa Dembele is being eyed by the likes of Juventus, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool, who are all set to make a move for the Celtic striker in the summer transfer window.

Dembele’s career has taken off since he made the move to Celtic from Fulham last summer. The switch to Parkhead has seen him become his side’s talisman in no time, and he has produced some truly stunning numbers this season.

An almost ever-present in the Scottish side this season, Dembele has racked up 49 appearances across all competitions for them this season. In these games, the 20-year-old has found the back of the net 32 times while also providing 9 assists, thus making a direct contribution every 82 minutes.

With Dembele being one of the most prolific players in Europe currently, it is not hard to see why he is starting to attract the attention of the who’s who of European football. In fact, the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Arsenal have all been linked with him previously.

The front-runners now, though, are a set of completely different teams, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Juventus all interested in signing Dembele in the summer.

At Chelsea, Spain striker Diego Costa’s future is mired in heavy uncertainty, while summer signing Michy Batshuayi hasn’t been able to make much of an impact. Should Costa depart from Stamford Bridge in the summer, Conte would be in need to add a proven top quality striker.

Liverpool’s need for a striker for their first-team is not as pronounced as Chelsea’s, but Jurgen Klopp is in serious need to bolster his squad. Additionally, the recruitment of Dembele can also provide the Liverpool boss with the option of another attacker should he switch systems next season.

Manchester United, though, are in serious need to sign a striker with Zlatan Ibrahimovic reportedly sidelined for the remainder of the year. That leaves Jose Mourinho with just Marcus Rashford as the recognised option to fill the Swede’s boots, which is why it is believed that the Manchester United boss will sign a striker in the summer.

Meanwhile, Juventus have been monitoring Dembele’s progress for a long time now and are now set to make a move to sign him in the summer. However, with the prolific Gonzalo Higuain going strong as the focal point of the Bianconeri attack, it is hard to see where the Frenchman will fit in the scheme of things within the first team setup.

Borussia Dortmund could join the race to sign Dembele as well, if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang moves away from the Westfalenstadion in the summer. Celtic, however, are not willing to let go of their prized asset easily, and it remains to be seen if the big name suitors can persuade them into selling Dembele.
