Arsenal are reportedly set to slap a hefty £50 million price tag on Alexis Sanchez, who is on the radar of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich among others.
London Evening Standard are claiming that Arsenal have finally come to terms with the fact that they are likely to lose their superstar Alexis Sanchez in the summer. The report states that the Gunners are set to slap a £50 million price tag on the Chilean, with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Chelsea and other top clubs vying for his signature.
Alexis Sanchez has been at the heart of every Arsenal performance since the Chilean joined the club from Barcelona in July, 2014. The Chilean, though, has hit a new stride of form this season, with 22 goals and 18 assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
However, his form has not been enough to save Arsenal, who, as has been the case in all their recent campaigns, bowed out of all cup competitions, with a likely exit on the cards in the FA Cup as they are set to face Manchester City in the next round.
Their spot in the top four, which has always been a guarantee every season, is also under threat, with the Gunners languishing at 6th on the Premier League table. Alexis Sanchez has failed to agree an extension at the club so far and the contract standoff does not seem to be coming to an end anytime soon.

This has seen Alexis being linked with every top club, with the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Chelsea and even Manchester United showing an interest in the Chilean’s services.
Bayern Munich are reportedly targeting a summer move for Alexis, with Carlo Ancelotti an admirer of the player’s skill-set. The Bavarians have an ageing wide attack, with Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben both 33 years of age and they would need to refresh their attack.
Alexis Sanchez can be a fresher option while also not proving to be much of a downgrade than the illustrious duo, with the Chilean at par or even better than the duo at this stage.
Real Madrid could see the exit of Karim Benzema, Isco and James Rodriguez among others and Alexis Sanchez could do well to fill the void. Los Blancos were reported to be ready to swap Karim Benzema in a cash plus player deal to land Alexis and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal would be willing to consider the deal.
Chelsea have been linked for a while with Alexis. But latest updates have speculated that Antonio Conte has made Alexis Sanchez a priority summer target for Chelsea in what could equip the Blues with one of the most lethal attacking trios in the footballing world.
However, as per the report, Arsenal are now willing to accept the fact that Alexis is set to part with the club in the summer, and are ready to slap a £50 million price tag on the Chilean; an amount that all of the suitors would gladly pay in acquiring the services of the superstar.
