Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic’ agent could try and facilitate a swap deal with Arsenal for his client, with Alexis Sanchez going the other way.

If journalist Pasquale Guarro of the Italian outlet Calciomercato is to be believed, then Ivan Perisic’s hiring of Fali Ramadani as his representative nearly a month ago, could lead to the Croatian winger swapping the San Siro for the Emirates in the summer.

The report states that Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio is ‘desperate’ to start negotiations over a new contract with the 28-year-old, who has been one of his best players this season. Perisic’s current contract runs till 2020, and a new deal would also likely mean an increase in his wages.

The report goes on to state that while Fali Ramadani will absolutely listen to what Inter puts on the table, he believes that he can get his client a move to Premier League side Arsenal. Perisic has never hidden his desire to play in England and London seems like his most likely destination.

Inter are also reported to be interested in Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez. He has been their best player since arriving at the Emirates in 2014 from Barcelona. 128 games, 62 goals and 39 appearances later, the Chilean is edging closer and closer towards a move away in the summer.

The Chilean international is amidst a contract stand-off with the English side and it doesn’t look like he will commit his long term future to the Gunners. Arsenal’s inability to challenge for the title season after season, combined with Wenger’s uncertain future at the club has only fueled speculation surrounding his own future.

Ramadini believes he can capitalise on Inter’s interest in Sanchez and try and facilitate an exchange deal between the two clubs in the summer. Perisic’s desire to play in England and Sanchez’s discontent the Emirates should only further help Ramadini’s cause.

Arsenal could no doubt do with a player like Perisic in their ranks. Fast, strong, technically adept and with a good work rate, he would have no trouble adjusting to the English game. Chelsea reportedly wanted him in the summer, and now Manchester United also are rumoured to be interested.

Perisic had a superb Euro 2016 with Croatia, where he scored 2 goals and got an assist in 4 games. He brought that good form with him to the Serie A, and with 7 goals and 7 assists in 30 appearances this season, he has arguably emerged as one of, if not Stefano Pioli’s most important players.
