Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie plays up the possibility of a dream move to Manchester United.
According to Gianluca di Marzio and ESPN Columnist David Amoyal, Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie has admitted that he wants to play in the Premier League one day and hopes to be wearing the red of Manchester United.
The Ivory coast international is one of Europe’s hottest prospects and is already making the back pages of various newspapers across the continent due to his ability to turn things around in the blink of an eye. He is reportedly valued at €30 million – which does not appear that high a fee – given the inflated market in the modern day and age.

In another tweet, Amoyal stated that Kessie holds Chelsea in high regard as well, but has his heart set on moving to the Red Devils, and will accept any offer they make for him.
Reports emerged in December 2016 that Chelsea had made a €25 million bid for the Atalanta sensation. It was further revealed that the London club were in advanced talks with the youngster, and were willing to wait until the summer to sign him.
However, come the end of Janaury, it seemed that Chelsea had lost a significant amount of ground in their pursuit for the 20-year-old as Serie A giants AS Roma appeared to be in pole position to sign him before the closure of the transfer window. However, the player has denied hearing about any interest shown by the Italian team.
Kessie has shown similarities to Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure and is regarded to be a future superstar, regardless of the club he is at. His current focus is, however, with Atalanta where he has already grabbed six goals and assisted another in 19 league appearances this term.
The Ivorian would be an excellent coup for Jose Mourinho and Manchester United as the club’s longstanding midfielder Michael Carrick is nearing the end of his career. While Kessie’s style of play isn’t identical to the Englishman’s, he can certainly be moulded in the right shape to be a phenomenal success at Old Trafford.
Also, with him offering a ‘come and get me plea’ of some sorts to United, Mourinho could be looking up to snap him quickly before the other European heavyweights make the 20-year-old begin to consider his options. Chelsea will undoubtedly be in the hunt, and despite the player’s preferences, they could try to prise him out with a more lucrative wage rate.
