Arsenal have reportedly handed a third trial to Deportes Santa Cruz wonderkid Marcelo Allende, who has been dubbed the next Alexis Sanchez.

Football.london have reported that 17-year-old Chilean sensation Marcelo Allende has arrived at Arsenal for a third trial spell at Emirates. The player, who is currently contracted to Deportes Santa Cruz, has been hailed the next Alexis Sanchez and it seems he could be set to join the Chilean international in London.

Marcelo Iván Allende Bravo has already arrived in London and joined the Gunners’ academy squad as he begins his third temporary stint with Arsenal in an attempt to convince them enough to launch an attempt to make the switch permanent.

The 17-year-old is regarded as the hottest talent back in his homeland and was one of the mega stars during the Under-17 World Cup held in Chile in 2015. Allende captained his side and scored two goals in the process as Chile made it to the Round of 16, which generated widespread interest in the teenager.

Allende has been likened to Alexis Sanchez back in his homeland due to the similarity in playing style and perhaps, the potential to someday match the Arsenal superstar. But there is more to that. Prior to the Under-17 World Cup, Allende was a player for Cobreloa, the same club where Alexis Sanchez was first discovered.

Arsenal brought Allende over to London for two stints prior to this last season while other European clubs are also credited with interest in the 17-year-old. One of the named clubs is Ukranian heavyweight Shakhtar Donetsk, who are keen on the diminutive playmaker.

Arsenal are in a contract standoff with Alexis Sanchez right now and there are rumours linking the Chilean superstar to a possible exit, with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Juventus and some Chinese outfits interested in the player.

And looks like Wenger is already looking towards the future, in an attempt to snap the next Alexis Sanchez up before other clubs come in for the talented prodigy. Allendes’ talent has generated a lot of hype around his career and a permanent move to Arsenal could provide the perfect platform for him to convert the prodigy into a superstar.

The talent would be hoping to impress Arsenal coaches for now and would be fully focused at the task at hand – land a permanent deal at Emirates.
