Chelsea Team News vs Tottenham: No injury issues for Conte for the London derby

Antonio Conte has confirmed that Chelsea have a fully fit squad as the Blues travel to face Tottenham at the White Hart Lane.

Conte will have a full squad at his disposal as Chelsea prepare for a crucial away clash against title rivals Tottenham. The fixture has gained even further significance based on the current position of the two sides. A win for Chelsea will extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points and also break the record for the best winning streak in a single season.

A win for Tottenham, on the other hand, will not only halt Chelsea from etching their name in the record books but also make the race for the Premier League title and the top four places more intriguing.

And, the Italian manager was upbeat as he confirmed in his pre-match conference that there are no injury issues to care for, with even John Terry likely to return to the bench.

He said,“ I like to have my players in good form and then make the best choice for the game.”

“I prefer to have this problem. For sure now we have Pedro, Willian, Hazard and Costa in good form and good shape. I have to decide the starting XI, but I think you win the game in 95 minutes, and it’s important to have all my players available, and above all in good form.”

The Italian is not unaware of the significance of the fixture as regards the title race.

“The league is very open, and we are only in the first game of the second part of the season,” he said.

“Tomorrow we know we will have a really tough game against Tottenham. If after the game we have eight points more than the second team we will be pleased, but this league is very tough and you can lose points any game.”

It would be intriguing to see if Tottenham are indeed able to stop the Chelsea juggernaut and throw the title race wide open or whether Conte and his men are able to open up an eight-point gap at the top of the table.
