Transfer News: Liverpool and West Ham in for Lukasz Teodorczyk

Liverpool and West Ham have reportedly entered the long queue of clubs in pursuit of in-form Polish ace Lukasz Teodorczyk.

Italian publication Corriere dello Sport are claiming that Liverpool and West Ham have entered the race to sign Lukasz Teodorczyk. The Polish ace has been in sizzling form for his temporary employers Anderlecht and has been attracting attention from many top clubs across Europe.

The 25-year-old first came into prominence for his form during his time at Lech Poznan, a top side in his native league. He was then signed by Ukranian side, Dynamo Kyiv, where he continued to show a good run of form. The player is now on loan at Belgian side Anderlecht, where he has bettered his previous form and how.

Teodorczyk has been on fire, with 12 goals from 15 league games while scoring 5 goals in 5 Europa League outings. There are reports that Anderlecht reserve the right to convert the loan move into a permanent transfer for a measly amount of €5m, a fee that seems a bargain given the form that he is in.

But, the Polish ace is attracting widespread interest from a host of clubs. The Corriere story has named Benfica and Sevilla as potential suitors while Daily Star are stating that the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan are all showing interest in the forward.

Daily Mirror had stated earlier in the month that many Premier League clubs are targeting a move for the player, including the likes of Stoke City, Everton, Sunderland and West Brom. Championship side Aston Villa are also reportedly interested.

West Ham are having troubles with finding a good striker, with star signing Simone Zaza failing to impress the Hammers. Their Premier League rivals Liverpool are looking at the striker to cover for the absence of Sadio Mane and now Coutinho, who has suffered a long-term injury.

The forward has striking similarities with Lewandowski, who became one of the most lethal attacking weapons under Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund. Klopp seems intent to repeat his exploits, this time with Teodorczyk, another Polish attacker who has played for Lech Poznan.

The player is rated at around £12m by Dynamo Kyiv. If Anderlecht do not make the move permanent or the player rejects a permanent transfer to Anderlecht, it may open doors for a move to other clubs.

One thing is for sure, all of the suitors would be lurking in the shadows, waiting for Teodorczyk to become available and when it happens, there is likely to be a massive transfer war with the forward in the midst of it all.
