Manchester City Team Update vs West Ham: Bravo, Kompany, Gundogan and Sane unlikely to feature

Manchester City will have an almost full squad at their disposal as they look to make it three wins out of three in the Premier League.

Kelechi Iheanacho has been cleared fit to play after being carried off against Steaua and could be in line for game time again as Pep Guardiola seems impressed with the player’s willingness to work for the team. Fans eager to see their new signing Claudio Bravo in action would be disappointed as Pep Guardiola revealed that the shot-stopper would not feature for City in the starting lineup. This is likely to mean another start in the Premier League for Caballero as Hart looks destined for a move away from Etihad.

Elsewhere, Vincent Kompany has not yet fully recovered from his thigh injury. This could mean another start for Otamendi over Kolarov alongside John Stones, after the defender impressed in their last outing against Stoke. Even though both the pairings conceded one goal each in their respective games, Otamendi is more of a natural centre-half and seemed more comfortable in that position compared to Kolarov.

Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan are likely to not be fully fit to feature at the Etihad against West Ham. But Guardiola would not be too concerned with his current starters in such blistering form. Raheem Sterling has displayed shades of his Liverpool form under Pep Guardiola and the English international is likely to continue to grab a starting spot. New signing Nolito is also set for a start as the Spanish international seems to have settled in quickly at the club.

Sergio Aguero has been in blistering form and is set to haunt the West Ham defence, having scored 7 goals in the last 9 games against the Hammers.

West Ham, on the other hand, are missing a majority of their stars due to injuries, with the main focus being on the creative duo of Dmitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini. But Bilic is hopeful of at least one of them will be fit to face Manchester City.

Mark Noble is also expected to return to the starting lineup which would be a huge boost for the Hammers as they look to cause an upset at Etihad on Sunday.
