One representative each of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool make it to the provisional 26-man Euro 2016 squad announced by Germany manager Joachim Low.
Bastian Schweinsteiger has been selected in the provisional German Euro squad, even though the 31-year-old has been out with a knee injury since March. The German captain remains an influential leader for Die Mannschaft and his injury troubles have been overlooked by manager Joachim Low, for the time being at least.
Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil will also be an integral part of the German squad travelling to France, after having scored 8 goals and registered a whopping 19 assists for the Gunners this past season. Ozil fell just one short of the all time Premier League record of 20, set by Thierry Henry in 2002-03.
The final member of the Premier League contingent is Liverpool’s defensive midfielder Emre Can, who has become a fixture of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side this season. Can has shown great tenacity, ability and work-rate and it has clearly been recognized as he earns his first call up for a major international competition.

Germany lack top class pure strikers, but make up with attacking midfield talent
Lukas Podolski and Mario Gomez, both 30 years old and playing in the Turkish Super Lig with Galatasaray and Besiktas respectively, are the only two recognized centre-forwards in the German squad. While Bayern Munich duo Mario Gotze and Thomas Muller can play that role, they are usually positioned deeper in the midfield for their club duties.
However, Low has a number of players he can rely on for attacking impetus. He will be hoping that attacking responsibilities will be taken up by the likes of Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos, wingers like Schalke’s young star Leroy Sane and Borussia Dotmund beast Marco Reus, who missed the 2014 FIFA World Cup through injury.
