Liverpool FC are just one step away from winning yet another European crown and manager Jurgen Klopp has been attracting a lot of praise from all quarters.

Although they are struggling in eighth place in the Premier League table, Liverpool have performed brilliantly in Europe, managing to make it to the final of the UEFA Europa League this season.

The Reds were one goal behind on aggregate after the first leg of the semi-final against Villarreal. However, Liverpool came back strongly in the second leg to win the fixture 3-1 on aggregate. This will be their first European final in nine years.

Paul Scholes has been quite vocal about how impressed he has been with Liverpool ever since Klopp took over as the manager of the club. The former Manchester United player believes that Klopp’s general happiness is infectious for the rest of the team.

“It’s very special. Just watching him being interviewed, he’s great value. He’s a happy person, a good person and his players respond to that,” Scholes said to BT Sport [via Daily Express]. “He looks like he loves every one of them – and they don’t half play for him.”

In spite of being much lower in the league, Liverpool could qualify for the Champions League next season, if they win the Europa League final against Spanish club Sevilla later this month.

This means that next season’s Champions League could see five English teams playing it, if the fourth placed side win their qualifying round match.

New improved Liverpool next season

Liverpool FC v Stoke City FCWhile there have not been any major transfers under Jurgen Klopp’s regime so far, the German manager is set to make wholesale changes to his squad in the summer transfer window.

Klopp’s system of heavy metal football has not been as successful when it comes to getting consistent results in the league. However, Liverpool have been a completely different side in the cup competitions. In his very first season at the club, Klopp has taken the Reds to two cup finals, that too with a team he inherited from Brendan Rodgers.

One can expect that we will see a much more consistent Liverpool side once Klopp gets to sign the players he wants, and implement his system properly.
