Juventus goal keeper Gianluigi Buffon has broken Sebastiano Rossi’s 22-year-old Serie A record after not conceding a single goal in 930 consecutive minutes.
Buffon broke the league record by not conceding in the opening 3 minutes of the Old Lady’s derby clash with Torino on Sunday. AC Milan goalkeeper Sebastiano Rossi held the record after not conceding in the Serie A from December 12, 1993 to February 27, 1994.
Sampdoria’s Antonio Cassano is the only player in Serie A to have scored past Buffon since the beginning of 2016. Juventus will be looking to stay on top of the table with a win over cross town rivals Torino at the Stadio Olympico on Sunday.
