Willy Caballero put forth an impressive performance in the penalty shoot-out as Manchester City beat Liverpool to win the Capital One Cup. Standing in for Joe Hart, the Argentine international saved three successive penalties as City avenged their humiliating defeat to the Reds earlier in the season.
Both goalkeepers remained the talking point of the game as Simon Mignolet was blamed for Manchester City’s opening goal just after half time. However, the Belgian redeemed himself after denying Sergio Aguero with a brilliant save just minutes before the end of extra-time.
Here are the best reactions from the game.
For once picking your Willy over your Hart is the correct decision

Liverpool will get over this quickly. They’ll just go home and watch the DVD of all their Premiership title wins.

A real rags-to-riches story, going from fall guy to hero in the space of an afternoon. They should call him Slumdog Mignolet
