Thomas Müeller inspired Bayern Munich to a 3-1 over Darmstadt as Pep Guardiola’s side established an 11 point lead on top of the table.

Sandro Wagner gave the visitors the lead in the first half as Bayern Munich failed to breach their opposition’s defence, despite making repeated attempts at goal. However, two second-half goals from Thomas Müeller completed Bayern’s comeback as Robert Lewandowski added a third during the closing stages of the game.

Müeller’s over-head kick drew an enthusiastic response from fans on social media as Bayern Munich continued their dominance on the top of the Bundesliga table.

However, Thomas Müeller came to Guardiola’s rescue in order to maintain their 100% win record at home.

Fans also reserved a few words of praise for manager Pep Guardiola while a banner in the stadium curiously suggested that the to-be Manchester City manager was never really Bayern Munich’s ‘thing’.
