Inter Milan Hoping To Land Unwanted Manchester City Duo Yaya Toure, Pablo Zabaleta?

With wholesale changes to the Manchester City squad imminent as the arrival of Pep Guardiola looms large, Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini seems to be trying to prise away Yaya Toure and Pablo Zabaleta away from his former club.

Both Toure and Zabaleta are beyond their prime days right now, at the age of 32 and 31 respectively, and could face the boot when Guardiola takes over as the manager of Manchester City in the summer of 2016.

While Toure has been an instrumental part of Manchester City’s midfield ever since his transfer to the Premier League six years back, Zabaleta has been one of their best right fullbacks since he was bought in 2008. Zabaleta can not only play as right back, but he can also operate on the left side of the Manchester City defence, making him all the more valuable to the club over the years.

However, Manchester City might just be getting ready to offload these two players in the summer, and Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is reportedly all too happy to snap up the duo, according to the Daily Mail.

Poor relation with Pep

One person who is definitely not looking forward to the arrival of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City is Yaya Toure. The Spanish coach had sold Toure off to Manchester City in 2010, and it seems that the Ivorian midfielder might be on the move once again, when Guardiola comes to Manchester City.

Inter could land City duo at a bargain price

The combined price of both Yaya Toure and Pablo Zabaleta is around €34 million, according to Transfermarkt.com. However, Roberto Mancini would be harbouring hopes of landing the duo at a price much cheaper than that, as they are said to be unwanted under the Guardiola regime. Also the fact that both Toure and Zabaleta are approaching the fag end of their careers is also another factor that could push down their price greatly.
