Jakub Kiwior makes his Arsenal debut against Sporting CP, while Bukayo Saka and Oleksandr Zinchenko make unexpected starts at the Jose Alvalade Stadium.

Arsenal have named a strong lineup to face Sporting CP away from home in their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 first-leg clash. The headline will have Jakub Kiwior making his full debut for the Gunners as Gabriel Magalhaes is rested.

Despite travelling with the squad to Portugal, there is no Gabriel Jesus on the bench. Instead, Bukayo Saka will play from the right as Mikel Arteta takes no chances with his team selection. Emile Smith Rowe is also on the bench for the Gunners.

Matt Turner starts in goal for the Europa League clash, with a back four of Ben White, William Saliba, Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko lining up in front of him. Takehiro Tomiyasu is only available on the bench for this game alongside Gabriel Magalhaes. Young defender Reuell Walters also features among the substitutes.

Jorginho starts at the base of the Arsenal midfield, with Fabio Vieira and Granit Xhaka on either side of the Italian international. Gabriel Martinelli leads the line for the Gunners, with Saka and Reiss Nelson on either side of the front three.

Arsenal Starting Lineup: Turner, Ben White, Saliba, Kiwior, Zinchenko, Vieira, Jorginho, Xhaka, Saka, Martinelli, Nelson
