Mikel Arteta has named an unchanged lineup from the draw against Southampton last week, as Gabriel Magalhaes and Takehiro Tomiyasu start for Arsenal versus Nottingham Forest.

Mikel Arteta has taken the liberty to name an unchanged starting eleven from the Southampton game. Arsenal will host Nottingham Forest at the Emirates, and Gabriel Magalhaes and Takehiro Tomiyasu start at the back. The manager’s decision to start the Japanese international means Kieran Tierney only has a place on the bench.

Aaron Ramsdale continues between the sticks, while Karl Hein being his deputy as Matt Turner is yet to recover from a groin problem. Ben White starts as the right-back, while William Saliba keeps his place at the heart of the Arsenal defence alongside Gabriel. Tomiyasu remains at left-back.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka form a double pivot in central midfield. The Swiss international is expected to play his usual advanced role and will have Martin Odegaard in similar positions in the final third.

Bukayo Saka starts on the right side of the Arsenal attack, with Gabriel Martinelli keeping his place on the left flank. Gabriel Jesus leads the line for Arsenal against Nottingham Forest, hoping to find the net and end his drought.

Arsenal Starting Lineup: Ramsdale, Ben White, Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Tomiyasu, Partey, Xhaka, Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli, Jesus
