Liverpool Confirmed Lineup vs Real Madrid: Fabinho, Thiago fit to start; Salah returns

Fabinho and Thiago are fit to start while Mohamed Salah returns to the lineup as Liverpool get set to face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has named his lineup for their UEFA Champions League final clash against Real Madrid at Stade de France. The German tactician has made three changes to the side that started the Reds’ last Premier League match of the season against Wolves.

The first of the three alterations comes in defence where Virgil van Dijk returns to the starting XI. The Dutchman replaces Joel Matip and partners Ibrahima Konate at the heart of the Liverpool backline, while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson line up as the full-backs. Alisson Becker continues between the sticks as usual.

Liverpool have been handed a major boost in midfield as Fabinho is back in the side after missing the last few games with an injury. The Brazilian replaces Naby Keita, who drops out to the bench. Thiago Alcantara, who sustained an injury in the clash against Wolves, is fit to start and partners Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in the centre of the park.

Mohamed Salah, who did not start the league game against Wolves, also returns to the starting XI. The Egyptian superstar replaces Diogo Jota on the right side of the Liverpool attack. Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz complete the Reds frontline that will take the game to Real Madrid in Paris.

Liverpool Starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Mane, Diaz.
