Edouard Mendy and Thiago Silva return to the lineup as Chelsea start their Champions League campaign against Sevilla at the Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard has multiple changes from the team that faced Southampton on the weekend and came back with a 3-3 draw for their Champions League game against Sevilla. The first, and the major one being in goal where Edouard Mendy returns to the starting XI after recovering from injury, replacing Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Thiago Silva, too, takes his place in the XI, coming in for Andreas Christensen in the heart of the defence. The Brazilian was dropped on the weekend after his involvement surrounded an injury concern, with Lampard prioritising the Champions League game. Kurt Zouma, however, has managed to retain his spot despite making a direct error that led to a goal.
Ben Chilwell starts on the left, hoping to continue his impressive start to life in London, and will partner Reece James who replaces captain Cesar Azpilicueta in the right-back capacity.
