Edouard Mendy will make his debut for Chelsea while Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell also start in the Carabao Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has handed new signing Edouard Mendy his debut in the Carabao Cup fourth round clash against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. The Senegalese international joined from Ligue 1 club Rennes earlier this month and comes in for Willy Caballero in goal to mark his first appearance for his new club.
Ben Chilwell will also be making his full debut for the Blues, after making a substitute appearance in the previous cup tie against Barnsley. The Englishman starts at left-back, with captain Cesar Azpilicueta replacing Reece James on the right. Fikayo Tomori and Kurt Zouma are the two centre-backs for the game against Spurs.

Jorginho comes into the side, replacing N’Golo Kante in midfield for Chelsea. The Italian international will be partnered by Mateo Kovacic in the midfield double pivot, with Mason Mount operating in the No. 10 role.
Callum Hudson-Odoi, who made a great impact coming on as a sub at the weekend against West Brom, starts o the right flank. Blockbuster signing Timo Werner gets the nod on the left, with seasoned campaigner Olivier Giroud leading the line for Chelsea.
Underfire goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga finds himself on the bench, along with new signing Kai Havertz. Thiago Silva is not part of the matchday squad.
