Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has opted to stick with Olivier Giroud ahead of top scorer Tammy Abraham for their Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.
Chelsea boss has named an unchanged side from the 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur for their UEFA Champions Round of 16 first leg contest against German champions Bayern Munich at Stamford Bridge.
That means the Blues will once again line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Olivier Giroud spearheading the attack. The Frenchman started his first game of 2020 against Spurs and produced a goal-scoring performance which has earned him another start over Tammy Abraham.

Giroud will be assisted by the attacking midfield duo of Ross Barkley and Mason Mount, both of whom put in excellent displays last time out. The central midfield partnership of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic also remains intact in the absence of N’Golo Kante, with youngster Billy Gilmour being named among the substitutes.
Reece James and Marcos Alonso line up as the wing-backs while captain Cesar Azpilicueta partners with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen again in the three-man backline with Kurt Zouma on the bench. Kepa Arrizabalaga has once again been overlooked by Lampard, with Willy Caballero getting retained between the goalposts for Chelsea.
Chelsea Confirmed XI: Caballero; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger; James, Jorginho, Kovacic, Alonso; Barkley, Mount; Giroud
