Frank Lampard has once again left Kepa Arrizabalaga out of the starting XI for Chelsea’s game against Manchester United, while Michy Batshuayi gets a rare start.

Chelsea will go into their Premier League encounter against Manchester United without Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has once again been benched by Frank Lampard. The world’s most expensive goalkeeper had been axed by the Chelsea manager against Leicester City last time out and he once again finds himself out of the lineup, with Willy Caballero starting.

There are no surprises in defence with Reece James and captain Cesar Azpilicueta starting as the two full-backs while Antonio Rudiger partners up with Andreas Christensen at the heart of the Chelsea defence.

The midfield triumvirate of N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic remains intact, while seasoned campaigners Pedro and Willian start out on the flanks for Chelsea. Michy Batshuayi spearheads the attack for the Blues with star striker Tammy Abraham out with an injury.

Olivier Giroud makes the substitutes bench along with Mason Mount and Ross Barkley. Callum Hudson-Odoi is absent from the 18-man squad for Chelsea.

Chelsea Confirmed XI: Caballero; James, Christensen, Rudiger, Azpilicueta; Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic; Willian, Batshuayi, Pedro
