Chelsea Confirmed Lineup vs Liverpool: Hudson-Odoi, Loftus-Cheek return; Hazard as false-nine

Chelsea have recalled star man Eden Hazard to the starting lineup, along with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek for their away game against Liverpool.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has recalled a number of his regulars, who were left out in the midweek against Slavia Praha, for his side’s trip to Liverpool on Sunday.

David Luiz and Emerson Palmieri come back into the side in the backline in front of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, with Andreas Christensen and Marcos Alonso making way. Captain Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger complete the four-man defence for Chelsea.

There are two changes in the middle of the park, with N’Golo Kante returning to the side at the expense of Ross Barkley, while academy graduate Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has been in very good form of late, also comes back, with Mateo Kovacic dropping out. Jorginho continues in his deep-lying midfield role for the visitors.

Chelsea’s attack has a completely new look from the last game as Callum Hudson-Odoi, who was not part of the matchday squad on Thursday, is reinstated on the right flank in place of Pedro. Willian, who was one of Chelsea’s best players against Slavia, features on the opposite wing.

Sarri has gone into the game with star man Eden Hazard starting in the false-nine role, opting to bench both strikers Olivier Giroud and Gonzalo Higuain.
