As expected, Emery has gone with a three-man defence at the back with Laurent Koscielny returning to the fold having missed the last game through injury. The Gunners’ captain replaces the error-prone Shkodran Mustafi and partners Sokratis and Nacho Monreal in central defence. Petr Cech also continues to be Arsenal’s cup goalkeeper and keeps Bernd Leno on the bench.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac are preferred as the wing-backs, while Mesut Ozil keeps his place in Arsenal’s attack. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who started the last two games from the bench returns to the starting lineup and partners Alexandre Lacazette in the attack. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Guendouzi, Alex Iwobi and Denis Suarez are all options from the bench.
