Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has recalled defensive mainstay Virgil van Dijk to the starting lineup for their encounter against fellow title contenders Chelsea.
The Dutchman missed the cup tie against the Blues with a rib injury, but has been passed fit to start at the Stamford Bridge. There are as many as nine changes made by the manager to the team that faced Maurizio Sarri’s men earlier this week in the cup game, with just James Milner and Sadio Mane being retained.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Georginio Wijnaldum feature after recovering from minor fitness issues, while captain Jordan Henderson gets the nod in the middle, with Naby Keita relegated to the bench.
