The midfielder was the toast of the night, dominating the middle of the park in a match that ended in a stalemate.

France were held on for a draw at home by the reigning African champions Ivory Coast, in what was the last international fixture for both the sides in this calendar year. France were expected to bow-out for the year with a professional performance against their African opponents but it turned out to be rather drab team performance by the hosts, with only few players performing at their expected levels.

N’Golo Kante was the standout player with Adrien Rabiot also impressing in debut outing for the national team.
