France were held on for a draw at home by the reigning African champions Ivory Coast, in what was the last international fixture for both the sides in this calendar year. France were expected to bow-out for the year with a professional performance against their African opponents but it turned out to be rather drab team performance by the hosts, with only few players performing at their expected levels.
