Antonio Conte has decided to hand new signing David Luiz his second debut in a Chelsea jersey.

The Brazilian defender will partner Gary Cahill at centre-back. Ahead of the duo, N’Golo Kante, who has been a mainstay, continues to start as a defensive midfielder for the Blues.

Diego Costa is on the back of four goals in his last two games for club and country and will be looking to get the better of Simon Mignolet in the Liverpool goal.

For the visitors, Roberto Firmino has been excluded due to a groin injury which has seen manager Jurgen Klopp give the nod to Daniel Sturridge.

Joel Matip returns to the Liverpool side and will partner Dejan Lovren in the heart of the defence.
