Chelsea made their second major signing of the summer, as they raided Premier League champions Leicester City for their star midfielder N’golo Kante.
Frenchman N’golo Kante was the engine behind the Foxes unprecedented Premier League triumph last season. The 25 year old defensive midfielder made the most tackles and interceptions in the league.
Leicester paid a mere £5.6 million for Kante, and have now gained a sizeable profit on the player as Chelsea have now signed him for £30 million.

Fans on twitter were abuzz at the news. This is Chelsea’s second signing of the summer and one that could drastically improve their Premier League fortunes, as they look to better their 10th placed finish last season.
Kante is a great signing for @ChelseaFC be like the old days with Makelele #CFC #Kante ???

Kante. Super signing.
Says more tho about clubs wanting “off peg” rather than efficient scouting. 5 to 35m in 12 mths tells its own story.

10th place Chelsea convinced Kanté to leave Leicester
but 2nd place Arsenal still can’t convince Vardy to leave Leicester.— Troll Football (@TrollFootball) July 16, 2016
So Kante’s left the Champions. Chelsea have got a bargain – they’ve signed 2 players for the price of one..

Kante is Claude Makelele in disguise

However, Leicester City fans were left feeling a little saddened at the departure of one of their key players.
Hope #Kante dont just keep the bench warm at chelsea now i really would of gev it a season with @LCFC shame to see them all jumping.

If a player wants to leave, get a good price and let them go. Remember – we never thought we’d cope without Cambiasso…

No parting comment or mention of #LCFC as he leaves & completely rids his social media of anything Leicester City – you’ve let me down Kante

If Kante convinced Vardy to stay &
now he leaves Leicester. This makes it the second biggest betrayal after Judas betrayed Jesus Christ— OKUSKUN (@wallacemoses95) July 17, 2016
