Iceland pulled off a major upset as they knocked England out of the European Championships. Citizens of the small nation were over the moon and the official Icelandic commentator experienced a break down as the final whistle confirmed that Iceland were going through to the quarter-finals.

Iceland are a country with a population less than that of Leicester, home of the Premier League champions. Yet their national football team disgraced the much hyped England team, as a 2-1 victory took Iceland to the quarter-finals while knocking England out of yet another major international tournament.

Needless to say, the people of Iceland were ecstatic. Commentator Guðmundur Benediktsson, who was covering the match at the stadium, sums up the emotions of a nation making their first appearance at a European championship and exceeding all expectations.
