West Ham United’s dead ball specialist curled in a near perfect free-kick to give France a 3-2 victory over Cameroon in their friendly on Monday.
An exciting game between the Euro 2016 hosts and African heavyweights Cameroon saw France open the scoring in the 20th minute, only to concede an equalizer two minutes later. Just before half-time, Paul Pogba provided an insane assist for Olivier Giroud that put Les Blues back on top, but a late equalizer from Schalke forward Maxim Choupo-Moting one again restored parity.
However, it was Premier League star Dimitri Payet who produced an inch-perfect freekick in the dying seconds of the game that gave Didier Deschamps’ men a morale-boosting win as they continue their preparations for Euro 2016.
