Manchester United academy product Jesse Lingard added a touch of class to the proceedings at Stamford Bridge as he scored a beautiful goal to put the Red Devils on top in the 61st minute.
The winger scored a beautiful half volley on the turn to break the deadlock against Chelsea, displaying brilliant control and awareness to smash it past Thibaut Courtois after latching on to a difficult air ball in the opposition penalty area.
Lingard’s contribution looked to be the difference between the two teams but the Blues managed to snatch a point from the jaws of defeat as Diego Costa scored a dramatic equaliser in the dying minutes of the match.
