Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea vying for Lucas Bergvall, deal difficult

A host of teams are interested in a move for Lucas Bergvall, with Tottenham in a strong position regarding his future.

Lucas Bergvall is a player of immense interest this summer for many Premier League teams, ready to take advantage of Tottenham’s misery. As per Caught Offside, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Chelsea are the ones keen on the Swedish midfielder, with Spurs in a strong position given their current standing with regards to the player.

Lucas Bergvall could be a high-profile casualty, irrespective of whether Spurs get relegated or not. The north Londoners found themselves deeper in the relegation race following their draw with Brighton at the weekend, with the club not anticipating interest in many of their players, including the 20-year-old midfield prodigy.

Bergvall may not have been one of their best performers, but his potential and level of talent have interested many teams in the recent past. There have been suggestions that Bergvall is not expected to push for a move away from Tottenham, but things could change depending on their Premier League status.

Roberto De Zerbi has been told to keep hold of Bergvall as well as other players, and Tottenham, having tied the player down to a long-term future, gives them plenty of leverage. The report states that a £50 million price point might prove enough, although Spurs are not interested in selling him.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Aston Villa are the ones credited with an interest. The Blues and the Birmingham side are probably in a good position given the opportunities they can offer Bergvall in their respective teams, while Arsenal are looking for a new midfielder to add a new spark.

Arsenal to make Lucas Bergvall move?

Arsenal might be a contender, but a move to the other side of north London will be pretty challenging. First of all, it will depend on the Spurs and their intention to conduct business with their rivals, which could be softened if they were relegated. Otherwise, a move seems unlikely and rather impossible.

Bergvall is not currently pushing for a move, at least publicly. However, should Tottenham suffer relegation, his camp might consider their options, including Arsenal. Chelsea and Aston Villa are in a strong position to make a move, although the asking price will be the ultimate factor in any deal.
