Eduardo Camavinga offered to Arsenal for summer move

Intermediaries have reportedly offered Arsenal the chance to sign 23-year-old French international Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Caught Offside, Arsenal will have the opportunity to sign Eduardo Camavinga in the coming months, as they “have now been contacted to be offered” the French midfielder’s services. However, the North London club will face stiff competition for his signature, with Liverpool and Manchester United also interested in the Real Madrid utility man.

Eduardo Camavinga and his Real Madrid spell so far

Eduardo Camavinga has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Real Madrid from Stade Rennais in August 2021. The 23-year-old has been a utility man for Los Blancos, as he can reprise any role in the middle of the park and play as a left-back. The Frenchman has made over 200 appearances thus far for Real Madrid while chipping in with six goals and 11 assists.

However, Camavinga’s stock has fallen in the last 18 months, as he has been in and out of the starting lineup. Additionally, the French international has struggled with fitness issues during this period. Nevertheless, his stock is high, with Liverpool and Manchester United among his prospective suitors, while intermediaries have offered the youngster to Arsenal. Meanwhile, Real Madrid will demand around €50 million to part ways with him.

Premier League adventure beckoning?

Arsenal may dip into the market for a midfielder in the summer transfer window, as Christian Norgaard is on the wrong side of 30. Additionally, the Gunners need more quality in the middle of the park beyond Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi to sustain the challenge of competing on four fronts. So, Camavinga is an option worth considering for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s interest in Eduardo Camavinga makes sense. The Reds are combing the market for a versatile midfielder heading into the summer transfer window, as Wataru Endo is on the wrong side of 30. Additionally, with Curtis Jones struggling to secure regular game time, his long-term future remains uncertain amid protracted contract talks. So, Camavinga is a viable target for Liverpool.

As for Manchester United, the Red Devils will dip their toes in the market for a holding midfielder in the summer transfer window, as Casemiro will leave as a free agent after the 2025/26 season. Additionally, with Manuel Ugarte struggling since joining Manchester United from PSG, they need a new first-choice holding midfielder. So, Camavinga is an appealing target for them.

However, the report has pointed to Liverpool being the “most advanced” suitor for Camavinga, although the 23-year-old Frenchman wants to join a club that can offer UEFA Champions League football. That hands Arsenal and Manchester United the advantage in the battle for the €50 million-rated midfielder’s signature amid uncertainties surrounding his Real Madrid future.
