Breno Bidon reveals European dream amid Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United links

Corinthians midfield sensation Breno Bidon has revealed his “dream” to play at one of the big European clubs amid speculation surrounding his future.

Breno Bidon may not be as well-known in European circles, but he is certainly a player to watch ahead of the summer. A host of European teams have been keeping close tabs for many months on the 21-year-old Brazilian midfield sensation, with his future looking increasingly likely to be away from Corinthians.

Bidon has impressed with his displays for the Brazilian side, with a host of English clubs already making headway during the January transfer window. Corinthians did not want to sell him in January, as they preferred to wait until the summer and did not want to disturb or weaken their squad midway through the season.

Ahead of the summer, it could be a case of Breno Bidon dreaming of making the move to one of the European teams. His realistic objective is to play in the Champions League, and there are a few interested clubs who could help him fulfil that ambition.

Bidon, in comments that appeared on TNT Sports Brazil via Sport Witness, may have signalled his intention to move to one of the top European clubs amid interest from Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

Bidon said, “I do dream about playing in Europe. It has been a dream since I was a kid – to play in Europe, to play in the Champions League, to play, like I said, in a World Cup. It has been a dream since I was young. I do have that desire. I do not know when the moment will come, but I do have that desire to play abroad.”

Chelsea reportedly made a bid in January but failed to convince Corinthians to sell, and their offer of around a reported £17 million was not enough. The Brazilian outfit reportedly want more than £25 million for their prized midfielder, as they might anticipate fresh interest in the 21-year-old.

Arsenal had made contact for the player, but that turned out to be information gathering. It remains to be seen whether the Gunners re-enter the conversation, while Manchester United were also keen on the midfielder, but they, too, were only seeking information. Overall, Bidon could attract fresh interest from top clubs in the summer, but it remains to be seen who is willing to pay big for the midfielder.
