Predicted Arsenal lineup against Nottingham Forest: Raya in for Kepa; Lewis-Skelly at left-back

David Raya and Myles Lewis-Skelly will return to the Arsenal starting lineup when they take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday.

Arsenal will aim to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they lock horns with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday evening. Mikel Arteta has no new issues to worry about ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Piero Hincapie (muscular), Cristhian Mosquera (ankle), and Riccardo Calafiori (muscle) remain in the treatment room. Otherwise, the visitors will have a full-strength squad to take on Nottingham Forest this weekend.

However, Arteta has not confirmed if any of the injured players will be ready to return to the matchday squad on Saturday. During his pre-match press conference, the Spanish tactician discussed the trio’s progress without naming any of them.

The Arsenal boss said, “No. (there are no fresh injury concerns for his squad). It might be (time). I need to meet now with the medical staff. We have a training session now and we’ll see if somebody is available for the weekend.”

“With the right level of organisation, but especially with the desire to play, shown every day, and the commitment that they show to do all the duties that are necessary for us to be a team that is very difficult to play against and to score against.”

Meanwhile, during his presser, Arteta answered questions about Ethan Nwaneri, who has not featured much for the North London club in the 2025/26 season thus far.

The Arsenal boss said, “They all have the option to play, we have to see for each game which ones. We have certain limitations, especially in the league with the numbers that we can bring in the squad, unfortunately. But yeah, everybody has to make contention.”

David Raya will replace Kepa Arrizabalaga between the sticks, with Arsenal lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in front of him against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The backline will feature Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

As for the midfield unit, Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice will pair up in the double pivot, with Martin Odegaard reprising the no. 10 role. Finally, Viktor Gyokeres will lead the line for the away side against Nottingham Forest, with Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka being the two wide attackers. So, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz will be among the backup options on the bench for the Gunners.

Predicted Arsenal XI: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Zubimendi, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Trossard; Gyokeres
