Marcus Rashford has heart set on Barcelona move

Manchester United misfit Marcus Rashford has no interest in joining any club other than Barcelona amid his links with Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Marcus Rashford. However, the two bigwigs have little to no chance of landing the Manchester United misfit, as the English international has informed the Premier League club that he is keen on remaining with Barcelona beyond the 2025/26 season.

How has Marcus Rashford fared at Barcelona?

Marcus Rashford has continued his revival since joining Barcelona from Manchester United on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window. The Blaugrana landed the 28-year-old after his exceptional stint with Aston Villa in the second half of the 2024/25 season. That helped the Englishman secure his dream move to Barcelona.

The English international has amassed six goals and 11 assists in 21 appearances across all competitions thus far for Barcelona. So, it is hardly surprising that Rashford has impressed Flick enough to compel the Blaugrana to contemplate seeking a permanent move. Meanwhile, the Manchester United misfit is also a target for Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur.

A man in demand

It is hardly surprising that Rashford has emerged as a target for Tottenham Hotspur, as the North London outfit did not fill Son Heung-min’s void when the South Korean international moved to MLS in the summer transfer window. Additionally, Richarlison faces an uncertain future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, making the Manchester United misfit an appealing target.

Meanwhile, PSG’s interest in Marcus Rashford is understandable. While Luis Enrique has a stacked offensive unit, the former Barcelona manager can do with more creativity in the final third. So, the Manchester United academy graduate has emerged as a viable target for PSG.

As for Barcelona, Rashford has already shown his quality at the Catalan club this season. The 28-year-old Englishman has already contributed to 17 goals in the first half of the 2025/26 season, and he may be on course to enjoy his most productive campaign. The latest update has boosted Barcelona’s prospects.

Rashford’s representatives have informed Manchester United that he will not join any club other than Barcelona after his loan deal ends. The update has dealt a blow to the prospects of Tottenham and PSG. Meanwhile, with Barcelona having the option to make the English attacker’s stay permanent for “just under £30 million” next summer, an agreement with Manchester United may be on the cards.
