West Ham United may look to sign 23-year-old German international Karim Adeyemi from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in the winter transfer window.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Karim Adeyemi is the subject of interest from West Ham United. The Hammers are eager to bolster their offensive unit by signing a versatile attacker in the winter transfer window. So, the Borussia Dortmund forward has emerged as a target for the East London outfit.
The Hammers are keen on signing an option to lead the line after losing Niclas Fullkrug to another injury, and they have thus set their sights on the Munich native. Meanwhile, apart from Adeyemi, five other attackers are on West Ham United’s wishlist as they look to sign a striker in the coming weeks.
Karim Adeyemi and his time with Borussia Dortmund so far
Karim Adeyemi has made considerable progress since joining Borussia Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg in July 2022. While the 23-year-old did not hit the ground running, he has been excellent since the 2024/25 season, even though fitness issues plagued him during the campaign.
Meanwhile, the German international has been impressive in the early stages of the 2025/26 season, chipping in with three goals and three assists in eight appearances thus far. The report has also revealed other targets on West Ham’s wishlist: Joshua Zirkzee, Mateo Pellegrino, Francesco Pio Esposito, and Roberto Piccoli. Meanwhile, West Ham may face a tall order to land Esposito, considering Inter Milan battled hard to keep the 20-year-old Italian international at San Siro beyond the summer transfer window.
