Leny Yoro will replace Harry Maguire in the Manchester United starting lineup when they host Sunderland at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Manchester United will be desperate to return to winning ways when they welcome Sunderland to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. Ruben Amorim has received positive updates on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.
Casemiro has served his suspension after missing the game against Brentford last weekend due to the red card dismissal against Chelsea two weeks ago. The Brazilian international will likely return to the starting eleven straightaway. Amad Diallo should also be available after Amorim gave him compassionate leave due to a family bereavement.
However, Lisandro Martinez (knee) and Noussair Mazraoui (hamstring) remain in the treatment room, and they will likely return before the next international break. Meanwhile, during his conversation with the club media, Amorim discussed the impending returns of Casemiro and Amad.
The Manchester United manager said, “They are really important. Casemiro gives us a lot of experience. That is good. Amad, we missed Amad in the last game. When we want to push some opponents, he is one extra guy where he is very good in one against one. So we are really happy to have him.”
Meanwhile, during his conversation with the club media, Amorim discussed Benjamin Sesko’s progress after his first goal for the club last weekend. He said, “The most important thing is to win games. That will give confidence for everybody in the team. Of course, he was anxious for his first goal. The thing I like most in Ben is, even when things are hard for him with the ball, he is working hard in every minute of the game.”
Altay Bayindir will likely retain his spot between the sticks ahead of Senne Lammens, with Manchester United lining up in a 3-4-2-1 formation in front of him against Sunderland on Saturday. The central defensive unit will feature Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Luke Shaw. Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu will continue as the two wing-backs.
As for the midfield unit, the returning Casemiro will line up alongside Bruno Fernandes in the double pivot, with Manuel Ugarte dropping to the bench. Finally, Benjamin Sesko will lead the line for Manchester United against Sunderland, with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha completing the numbers in the offensive third.

Predicted Manchester United XI: Bayindir; Yoro, de Ligt, Shaw; Dalot, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Dorgu; Mbeumo, Cunha; Sesko
