Everton will reportedly look to sign 19-year-old English winger Tyler Dibling from Southampton in the summer transfer window, with his price coming down.
According to a report by Football Insider, Tyler Dibling is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are keen on bolstering their offensive unit by signing a wide attacker in the summer transfer window. So, the 19-year-old Southampton winger has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit.
The latest update has dealt a blow to Everton. They submitted an improved bid worth £35 million to Southampton. However, the Saints have rejected the offer, as they are holding out for £40 million to part ways with the Englishman, who has drawn comparisons to Gareth Bale with his exploits for the EFL Championship outfit.
Tyler Dibling on the rise
Tyler Dibling has seen his stock soar, even as Southampton’s fortunes have dwindled in the last 12 months. While the Saints could not avoid relegation from the Premier League after a disastrous 2024/25 campaign, the teenage prospect has come leaps and bounds. The 19-year-old has turned out nearly 50 times thus far while chipping in with four goals and three assists for the EFL Championship club.
Meanwhile, the English attacker’s potential has captured the attention of several well-known clubs, particularly as he has drawn comparisons to Gareth Bale. The 19-year-old is a target for many well-known Premier League clubs and European bigwigs. However, Everton will aim to beat the competition to his signature in the summer transfer window.
Premier League return on the horizon?
Everton’s interest in Tyler Dibling makes sense. The Toffees are eager to sign a wide attacker this summer after choosing not to complete permanent moves for Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom when their loan deals expired. Several candidates, including Zuriko Davitashvili, have thus emerged on Everton’s radar, with Dibling also a viable target.
However, a summer move for the 19-year-old Englishman will not be straightforward, with the Merseyside outfit failing with another bid after an opening proposal worth £27 million failed to hit the spot. The latest offer was around £35 million, with Southampton holding out for £40 million to part ways with Dibling in the summer transfer window.
While Southampton’s asking price has fallen in the last few months, with the EFL Championship outfit demanding around £40 million, it is unclear if Everton will offer over £35 million. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the English attacking sensation.
