Nicolas Jackson is keen to stay in the Premier League after snubbing approaches from Serie A, as Manchester United remain interested.
According to Sebastien Vidal, Nicolas Jackson is keen to continue playing in the Premier League amid reports of a potential exit from Chelsea. Manchester United are linked with a move for the Senegalese forward, who has reportedly rejected the overtures of Napoli and AC Milan.
Nicolas Jackson could be a big subject in this transfer window, as the Senegalese striker could be surplus to requirements at Chelsea. The West London outfit have aggressively signed attackers this summer, as the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro do put Jackson’s place in jeopardy.
Jackson may slip out of Enzo Maresca’s plans just like Noni Madueke did, with the English winger already out of the club, having joined Arsenal. Given the evolving market for strikers, Chelsea could sense a big opportunity with the sale of the striker, with the Blues reportedly slapping an £80 million price tag.
That price point will certainly cause some clubs to think twice before chasing the Senegal international. Manchester United are interested in Nicolas Jackson as they are chasing a new striker in this window after losing out on several key targets to fill that No.9 role.
Liam Delap was one of those, while they also made a couple of approaches for Viktor Gyokeres, with the striker now on the verge of finalising his transfer to Arsenal. Benjamin Sesko is a big target for Manchester United, but once again, any deal will depend on his price tag.
Nicolas Jackson wants to play in the Premier League
Jackson also has interest from AC Milan, and as per Sebastien Vidal, Napoli have also looked at the striker after missing out on Darwin Nunez. It appears the £80 million-rated Chelsea attacker has rejected the overtures from the Serie A sides while stating he wants to continue playing in the Premier League.
A few teams may be interested, particularly if Chelsea are willing to make changes to their £80 million asking price. Manchester United might be an option for Nicolas Jackson, but it remains to be seen whether they have the kind of budget to convince Chelsea over a deal.
