Juventus unwilling to meet Tottenham price for Yves Bissouma

Serie A giants Juventus reportedly do not want to fork out €15-20 million to sign 28-year-old Malian midfielder Yves Bissouma from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Italian outlet Tutto Juve, Yves Bissouma is the subject of interest from Juventus. The Serie A giants are keen on reinforcing their first-team squad by signing a midfielder in the summer transfer window. So, the 28-year-old Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has emerged as a target for the Bianconeri.

The North London outfit will demand around €15-20 million to part ways with the former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder in the summer transfer window. However, Juventus would prefer not to fork out over €10 million to sign Bissouma from Tottenham Hotspur.

Yves Bissouma and his Tottenham turmoil

Yves Bissouma has blown hot and cold since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Brighton & Hove Albion in July 2022. The 28-year-old was among the most reliable midfielders in the Premier League when he arrived at the North London club three years ago. However, he has not been as consistent as he would have liked during his stint with the Lilywhites.

The Malian international has turned out 100 times thus far for Tottenham while chipping in with one goal. However, Bissouma faces an uncertain future at the North London club, as they are open to cashing in on him in the summer transfer window. The situation has piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs, and Juventus will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Serie A adventure on the horizon?

Juventus’s interest in Yves Bissouma makes sense. The Serie A giants are scouring the market for a dynamic midfielder this summer amid uncertainties surrounding Douglas Luiz’s long-term future. The Brazilian international has no future at the Allianz Stadium, and Juventus will be ready to cash in on him in the summer transfer window. Interestingly, he is a target for Tottenham.

Meanwhile, several candidates, including Morten Frendrup, have emerged on Juventus’s radar, with Bissouma also a viable target. Tottenham will not stand in the way of the former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder, and a summer deal may be on the cards for around €15-20 million.

While Tottenham’s asking price of €15-20 million to sell Bissouma is not excessive, Juventus would prefer not to fork out the sum. Instead, the Bianconeri would like to pay around €10 million to sign the 28-year-old Malian midfielder. So, it will be interesting to see if the two clubs can manage a compromise on the transfer fee.
