West Ham United in transfer tussle to sign Moise Dieudonne Diarrassouba

West Ham United will reportedly look to sign Moise Dieudonne Diarrassouba, with Brighton & Hove Albion and SL Benfica also interested in the 16-year-old Ivorian winger.

According to a report by Africa Foot, Moise Dieudonne Diarrassouba is the subject of interest from West Ham United. The Hammers are scouring for opportunities in the African market and have set their sights on the 16-year-old winger wonderkid. Meanwhile, the teenage sensation is also a target for Brighton & Hove Albion, SL Benfica, and Toulouse.

Who is Moise Dieudonne Diarrassouba?

Moise Dieudonne Diarrassouba is the latest highly-rated prospect to rise in prominence in an African nation. Ivory Coast, in particular, has produced several promising prodigies in the last few years, with Simon Adingra, Bazoumana Toure, and Mario Dorgeles already making their mark at a European club.

As for Diarrassouba, the teenage sensation is still in his homeland, and he turns out for little-known Ivorian club ASFA Abobo. However, like many prodigies from the continent, the 16-year-old rose in prominence during the under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, and he has piqued the attention of clubs across Europe.

Brighton & Hove Albion, SL Benfica, and Toulouse FC are interested in the Ivorian winger prodigy. However, West Ham United will aim to beat the competition to the youngster’s signature. Meanwhile, ASFA Abobo will demand around €1 million to part ways with Diarrassouba.

London calling?

West Ham United’s interest in Moise Dieudonne Diarrassouba is understandable. The Hammers have become more aware of opportunities in markets beyond Europe, with Luis Guilherme recently reinforcing the East London club’s offensive unit. Like the Brazilian prospect, other prodigies have emerged on West Ham United’s radar.

The African market has also appeared on West Ham’s radar, with recent reports linking the East London outfit with Mamady Diambou. Meanwhile, Diarrassouba is also a viable target, considering he can be the long-term successor to Jarrod Bowen. The Ivory Coast youth international’s age profile aligns with Bowen’s career trajectory.

However, with high-profile clubs like SL Benfica also in the chase, West Ham might face an uphill task to land the 16-year-old Ivorian winger wonderkid. But the Hammers should have no qualms about coughing up €1 million to secure his services.
