Arsenal rival Fulham in Yeremay Hernandez chase

Arsenal will reportedly compete with Fulham to sign 22-year-old promising Spanish winger Yeremay Hernandez from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Yeremay Hernandez is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are scouring the market for a wide attacker heading into the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Deportivo La Coruna winger. Meanwhile, the promising Spanish forward is also a target for Fulham, with the Herculinos demanding £30 million to part ways with him.

Yeremay Hernandez and his career so far

Yeremay Hernandez has established himself as one of the best young prospects in his homeland since breaking into the first-team squad at Deportivo de La Coruna. A native of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Spaniard spent his formative years with multiple clubs, passing through the academies at Almenara, UD Las Palmas, and Real Madrid before graduating from the youth division at Deportivo La Coruna.

The 22-year-old has come leaps and bounds in the last few years, and he has been a rare bright spot in a frustrating La Liga 2 campaign for Deportivo La Coruna. Yeremay has contributed to 15 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions, finding the back of the net 11 times and providing four assists.

Meanwhile, the promising Spanish winger’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Premier League outfits, in particular, are keen on securing the youngster’s services, with Arsenal and Fulham among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

London calling?

Arsenal’s interest in Yeremay Hernandez makes sense. The Gunners are scouring the market for a wide attacker to reduce the over-dependence on Bukayo Saka. So, several candidates, including Nico Williams, have emerged on Arsenal’s radar, with the Deportivo La Coruna winger also a viable target.

As for Fulham, Willian is in the twilight of his career, while Reiss Nelson will likely return to Arsenal after his loan deal ends. So, the West London club can do with a new wide attacker, with the 22-year-old Spaniard being an option worth considering. Meanwhile, the youngster will not cost a bomb, with Deportivo La Coruna demanding £30 million to part ways with him.

Arsenal and Fulham should have the funds to afford a deal worth £30 million to land the promising Spanish winger. However, Fulham might face a tall order, considering the Gunners can offer him UEFA Champions League football.
